Former Universal exec Harry T. Smith has been tapped VP and general manager of Ray-Art Studios in Woodland Hills. He will oversee the administration of the studio’s soundstages and support facilities.

“Harry Smith’s experience brings an extraordinary depth to our business dimension regarding studio operations and sales,” Ray-Art principals Robert Papazian and James Hirsch said in a statement.

At U, Smith served as senior VP of studio operations and exec VP of its facilities rental division.
