Tellem takes key CBS posts

Nancy Tellem has been named executive vice president of business affairs at CBS Entertainment and executive VP of CBS Prods.

Tellem, whose appointment had been expected, reports to CBS Entertainment president Leslie Moonves (Daily Variety, June 19).

Before joining CBS, Tellem served as exec VP of business and financial affairs at Warner Bros. TV, which she first joined in 1987. She also worked at Columbia Pictures TV before Warner Bros.

In her new post, she’ll be responsible for all business and financial matters for the network entertainment division, including talent negotiation and contracts. She’ll serve in a similar capacity at CBS Prods., where she’ll be the highest-ranking executive there.

Bob Gros, senior veepee at CBS Prods., will report to Tellem, and Moonves has no plans to fill the president position that has been open since the departure of Andy Hill.

Separately, Warner Bros. chief drama developer Nina Tassler is in talks for a high-level creative position at CBS Prods.
