Telepix taps Fortson sr. VP

Telepictures Prods. has promoted Kevin E. Fortson to the newly created post of senior VP of production.

Fortson has been VP of production for Warner Bros.’ Telepictures since 1993. He’s responsible for overseeing the production staff on the Telepictures strips “The Rosie O’Donnell Show,” “Extra” and “Jenny Jones,” in addition to new projects and specials produced by the division.

“When Kevin joined us we had one strip on the air,” Telepictures president Jim Paratore said. “We now produce 19-1/2 hours a week from three different cities. Kevin has been an integral part of our success, and his promotion reflects his importance to our team.”

Before joining Telepictures, Fortson spent five years with Investigative News Group, where he was the executive in charge of production of the talkshow “Geraldo” and “The Geraldo Rivera Specials.” Fortson also has held production posts with Fox, Group W Prods. and Genesis Entertainment.
