Continuing to expand its scope, Endeavor has hired former Gotham lit agent Jess Taylor to ramp up its new book-to-film division.
Before joining Endeavor, Taylor spent eight years at New York-based Curtis Brown Ltd., where he oversaw the agency’s film and TV rights business.
He began working in Endeavor’s Los Angeles office Dec. 1 and is charged with finding literary properties the agency can sell for TV and feature film projects. Taylor also will work with New York lit agents to represent their clients’ works in Hollywood.
Before joining Curtis Brown, Taylor worked in film development in New York.
While Taylor’s hiring is more in line with Endeavor’s literary roots, the agency has embarked on a steady expansion — it now reps writers, directors and actors — since opening its doors in March 1995.
