Henry Shinn has been tapped head of development for Axelrod/Widdoes Prods., which has an exclusive TV production pact with Universal.
Shinn’s responsibilities will include developing drama series and longform projects, in addition to overseeing comedy projects already in the works at the company. He’ll also develop film projects under Axelrod/Widdoes’ first-look feature deal with U.
Shinn comes to Axelrod/Widdoes from the Rothman Agency, where he served as executive assistant to Robb Rothman. Before joining the talent agency, Shinn worked in the creative affairs department at NBC Studios.
Axelrod/Widdoes principals Jonathan Axelrod and Jamie Widdoes struck their TV/film development deal with U in May 1996. The pair’s TV production credits include the sitcoms “Dave’s World” and “Can’t Hurry Love.”
