NBC has tapped Jeffery Wallace for the newly created position of vice president, staffing and diversity, NBC West Coast.
Wallace will oversee NBC’s minority recruiting and career development activities, in addition to professional and nonunion hiring. He will report to Mike Pyles, NBC West Coast’s senior VP, employee relations.
Wallace comes to NBC after six years as a personnel exec with Sony Pictures Entertainment, most recently serving as SPE’s veep, human resources and corporate diversity. Prior to his tenure with Sony, Wallace spent five years as director of human resources for the Writers Guild of America West.
From 1978-86, Wallace was a field representative for the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.
