NBC Entertainment has promoted Bari Carrelli to vice president, miniseries and motion pictures for television.

Carrelli, who joined NBC as director, miniseries and motion pictures in May 1994, was responsible for developing the hit miniseries “Asteroid,” which ranked as the highest-rated mini of the past season. She will continue to report to Lindy DeKoven, NBC Entertainment’s executive VP, longform programming.

Prior to joining NBC, Carrelli held several programming posts at Lifetime Television, where she spearheaded the cable network’s entry into original longform production. From 1987-88, Carrelli worked as a story editor for Bette Midler’s All Girl Prods.
