WASHINGTON — The National Assn. of Broadcasters has slapped senior VP stripes on Dennis Wharton, who joined the broadcast trade just over a year ago as vice president for public affairs.
Wharton will now head the public affairs department for the broadcast lobbying organization. In his new role, Wharton will continue to have daily contact with the press while developing long-term media strategies. Before joining the NAB, Wharton was Daily Variety’s Washington correspondent. The NAB also tapped Dos Schuette VP of communications operations.
