Stephen Moore has been promoted to president, international, of 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.
Elevated from senior VP, Europe, Moore will be responsible for developing strategy and new business opportunities for Fox product in all territories outside North America. He’ll relocate from London to Los Angeles and continues to report to Jeff Yapp, worldwide president of the home entertainment division.
Yapp praised Moore as “a strong leader and team player.”
Moore, who said he welcomed this “incredible opportunity,” noted that “given our explosive growth of the last few years, the challenge now is to maintain that trajectory.”
The company said European video revenue doubled and sell-through business expanded by more than 150% under Moore’s guidance.
In his new job, Moore will also oversee Fox interactive products as well as Fox Video and acquired programming lines in all international territories.
He joined CBS/Fox in 1987 and segued in 1991 to managing director of Fox Video and 20th Century Fox Film Co. in the U.K. In 1994 he was named senior VP of the company’s European video arm.
