NEW YORK — Miramax Intl. has promoted Cedric Jeanson to senior vice president of distribution from veepee of sales.
Jeanson, who has been based in Los Angeles, will relocate to New York for his new position.
“Cedric has made a tremendous contribution to Miramax International’s outstanding foreign results and has been instrumental in establishing several key distribution arrangements,” Miramax Intl. president Rick Sands said.
Jeanson joined Miramax Intl. in 1993 as director of international distribution. Before that, he worked for Dino de Laurentiis Communications.
At Miramax, Jeanson has specialized in selling to Asia (excluding Japan), Latin America and certain European territories. In his new job, he will be handling sales for additional major territories as well as acquiring feature film rights on a territorial basis.
