Henson taps Eskenazi for strategy

The Jim Henson Co., looking to expand its reach, has tapped Paul Eskenazi director of strategic planning, the firm announced Tuesday.

The exec will be responsible for finding and overseeing new business initiatives for Henson. He will also direct biz development and handle investment analysis.

Henson Co. is already involved with multimedia, licensing, publishing, TV and film production, and special effects creation with its Creature Shop.

Eskenazi will be based in L.A. and reports directly to Charles Rivkin, prexy and chief operating officer of Henson.

Eskenazi was formerly a consultant for the Boston Consulting Group. Before that, he worked for Peterson Consulting in Gotham.

“He is joining the company at a time of rapid growth and exciting new opportunities,” Rivkin said. “His experience and knowledge will make an invaluable contribution to our business.”
