NEW YORK — Steven M. Ross has been promoted to executive vice president of worldwide promotions and product placement at 20th Century Fox Licensing and Merchandising.
The promotion from senior VP, Ross’ title since 1995, comes as merchandise tied to Fox’s feature animation debut “Anastasia” is in stores and awaiting the film’s wide release Friday.
Ross has overseen “Anastasia’s” worldwide promotional campaign from its beginnings three years ago, when he began putting together deals with Burger King, Hershey’s, Dole, Shell, Blockbuster Video, Hostess/Frito Lay and Pepsi, among others.
Ross joined Fox Licensing in 1989, becoming VP of feature film promotions in 1992. His 1995 promotion to senior VP gave him responsibility over Fox’s film, video and TV properties.
