Sony Signatures’ pic and TV division has named Gregory Copploe director of marketing services and special events. He’ll primarily handle the company’s activities in the trade show arena.

Simitar Entertainment has added to its staff, naming Jim Chiado senior VP-sales, tapping Michael Meyer VP-marketing, appointing Andrew Darrow VP-business & legal affairs and setting Michael McCall warehouse manager. Chiado comes from Essex Entertainment and also worked at Arista Records. A 27-year music biz vet, Meyer joins the Minneapolis-based full-service multimedia entertainment outfit from Time Line Prods. Darrow had been a senior partner at Gotham firm Darrow & Hart; McCall steps aboard from Software Etc.

NBC Entertainment has bumped Bruce Evans to manager of primetime series. With NBC since 1995, Evans will work on “The Tony Danza Show” and “Built to Last,” among other projects.
