NEW YORK — Powerhouse praisery PMK has just gotten stronger. Susan Culley will merge her boutique public relations firm Susan Culley & Associates into PMK, bringing with her a client list that includes director Michael Bay and thesps Liam Neeson, Courteney Cox, Harvey Keitel, Bill Paxton, Jay Mohr (“Jerry Maguire”), Stephen Dorff and Hank Azaria. The move takes place July 1.
Culley, who will become a PMK Inc. vice president, returns to the firm that launched her career. She began as an assistant and moved up to publicist. She handled the launch of Morgan Creek for Jim Robinson and Joe Roth, then followed Roth when he took the reins at Fox. She became a Fox VP, but left to form her own company in 1990. She remained close to her mentor, Pat Kingsley, who runs PMK with her two East Coast-based partners Lois Smith and Leslee Dart.
“After taking this company from a dream to a successful independent agency, I am very excited to have been offered this position,” Culley said. “Joining PMK in this capacity will create new and exciting challenges for me and tremendous opportunity for my clients.” She’ll begin the transition process immediately.
Kingsley said she was glad to have Culley back as a senior executive: “PMK is happy to welcome Susan back to her roots. She’s gained enormous experience since she left and we all feel very fortunate she decided to make this move and come back home.”
PMK, which was formed in 1980, is generally regarded as having the strongest list of actors and directors in Hollywood. The firm has 40 employees repping 150 clients who include Tom Cruise, Jodie Foster, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tom Hanks, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sharon Stone, Hugh Grant, Woody Allen, Whitney Houston, Al Pacino and Courtney Love.
