Carsey-Werner ups Conte

The Carsey-Werner Co. has promoted Courtney B. Conte to the newly created position of executive vice president of production.

In his new post, Conte will be responsible for overseeing physical production of Carsey-Werner’s current slate of sitcoms, which include NBC’s “3rd Rock From the Sun” and “Men Behaving Badly,” CBS’ “Cosby” and “Cybill,” and ABC’s “Grace Under Fire.”

Conte, who previously served as senior VP of production, reports to Stuart Glickman, Carsey-Werner’s vice chairman and CEO.

Conte has been associated with Carsey-Werner since 1993, when he produced a Showtime special for “Grace Under Fire” star Brett Butler. His other TV production credits for the company include the short-lived sketch comedy series “She TV.”
