LONDON — Indie TV company Hat Trick Prods. has upped co-founder Jimmy Mulville to joint managing director opposite managing director Denise O’Donoghue, a move to help facilitate the company’s overall expansion, which includes into the U.S.
Hat Trick — which has enjoyed considerable success with sitcoms such as “Father Ted” and gameshows like “Have I Got News For You” in Britain — recently signed an exclusive rep deal with the Endeavor agency in L.A.
O’Donoghue and Mulville have held what they describe as “top-level”meetings with U.S. companies recently, but no details have been disclosed.
Over the next year, Hat Trick is producing 12 TV series — four of them new — and two feature-length drama projects for British terrestrial television.
