Ball fills bill as Fox/Liberty prexy, CEO

Anthony Ball has been upped to prexy and CEO for Fox/Liberty Networks from his previous post of prez and chief operating officer.

Ball will continue to oversee all operations of the Fox/Liberty Networks, which consist of Fox Sports Net, the cable network FX and Fox Sports Intl.

Since Ball was appointed COO of Fox/Liberty last February, Fox Sports Net has grown from just shy of 35 million households to more than 57 million homes and has launched the new owned-and-operated regional sports network Fox Sports Detroit.

Said Fox/Liberty chairman David Hill: “Tony’s done a great job expanding the scope and reach of Fox/Liberty Networks in the two vital areas, distribution and programming.”
