Warner Bros. and Black Pearl Entertainment have confirmed plans to launch the weekly syndie music series “R&B-TV” in the fall (Daily Variety, Nov. 13).
The hourlong show, produced by Black Pearl and Warner Bros. Domestic Pay TV, will showcase pop music acts in a magazine show format. “R&B-TV” is an outgrowth of the quarterly “R&B ’97” specials that fared well on many indie TV stations throughout the year.
Plans for “R&B-TV” were confirmed Thursday by Eric Frankel, executive VP of Warner Bros. Domestic Pay TV, and Walter Pearcey, exec veepee of Black Pearl.
