The growing Universal Music Latin America has further beefed up its ranks by inking industry vet Carol Wright to the newly created post of veep of marketing.
Based in Miami, Wright will guide the marketing efforts of all Anglo and Latin music repertoire throughout Latin America.
Wright, a former marketing and A&R veep with BMG Intl., will play a key role in the expansion of the Latin interests of Universal Music Intl., the parent of UMLA.
“Carol is a highly respected marketing professional in the international music industry,” said UMLA senior veep Jesus Lopez, to whom Wright will report. “She will be a key player in strengthening and developing our presence in Latin America.”
