Concert will be simulcast on radio stations nationwide

Those who’ve missed out on the Rolling Stones’ “Bridges to Babylon” tour dates at Dodger Stadium Sunday and tonight will have an opportunity to watch the Stones’ Dec. 12 concert from the TWA Dome in St. Louis live on pay-per-view, courtesy of Viewer’s Choice and satcaster DirecTV.

PPV telecast carries a pricetag of $19.95 for cable customers, but is being offered free of charge to the 3 million subscribers of satellite programming service DirecTV. Concert also will be simulcast on radio stations nationwide via syndicator Westwood One.

This is the fourth Rolling Stones show to go the PPV route. The first, back in 1979, was available on the now-defunct subscription TV service ON-TV. There also have been televised concerts from the “Steel Wheels” (Dec. 19, 1989) and the “Voodoo Lounge” (Nov. 25, 1994) tours.
