British get down to Motown

The Gallup organization, clearly desperate for novel statistics, has unleashed the news that U.K. youngsters firmly believe Motown hits are the best music to make love to.

Gallup, which polled 1,000 youngsters aged between 18 and 24, found that veteran crooners Tom Jones and David Essex were also considered more hip than modern bands Oasis and Take That. Take that, Take That.

“Magic Motown moments are the best records to make love to,” gushed Gallup, in an unusually purple mood.

Among modern singers, American Jon Bon Jovi and Britain’s Louise topped the poll as the sexiest performers.
