NEW YORK — Lesley Ann Warren, who recently brought the songs of Johnny Mercer to life in Broadway’s “Dream,” will star opposite Mario von Peebles in the independent film “Love Kills,” which Peebles wrote and will direct.
Rounding out the cast are Alexis Arquette and Daniel Baldwin. Produced by Tobie Haggerty and Mark Bunsmann, “Love Kills” is the story of an affair between a glamorous actress and a con man posing as her masseuse. Pic begins lensing next week in Los Angeles.
Warren will next appear in Gramercy’s “Going All the Way,” which screened in competition at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Based on Dan Wakefield’s bestselling novel, the film is the tale of young men returning home from the Korean War. Directed by Mark Pellington, “Going” stars Jeremy Davies, Ben Affleck, Jill Clayburgh and Rose McGowan.
Warren’s most recent film credits include “Bird of Prey” co-starring Jennifer Tilly, and “Natural Enemy,” an HBO original film in which she starred opposite Donald Sutherland.
Warren was repped on the deal by Toni Howard and Nicole Pfeffer of ICM, and her managers Maryellen Mulcahy and Peg Donegan of Mindel Donegan Entertainment.
