Warner Bros. has purchased Rand Ravich’s horror spec script “Wrath” for producer Andrew Lazar’s Mad Chance Prods.
The project was purchased in a preemptive strike for mid-six figures against high-six figures, sources said.
The pic, in the vein of “Jacob’s Ladder” and “Blade Runner,” is described as the story of a man who winds up learning that he is living in his own hell.
Lazar will produce the pic. Ravich wrote and Lazar produced the recent pic “The Maker,” which recently premiered at the San Francisco Film Festival. Ravich also penned “Godforsaken,” a black action comedy set up at New Line, with Mad Chance’s Lazar producing. Ravich also wrote a version of “Strangers on a Train” for Arnold Kopelson’s production company and Warner Bros.
Ravich was repped by Joe Rosenberg and David Styne and attorney Carlos Goodman.
