Universal Pictures has picked up the pitch “Lost and Found” from Tollin/Robbins Prods., which produced “Good Burger” for Nickelodeon Films. The pitch from Dan Schneider, who co-scripted “Good Burger,” was acquired for what sources said was $250,000 against $500,000.
Newly arrived production exec Allison Brecker brought in the pitch to the studio.
“Lost and Found” follows the antics of a young boy whose school essay is found in a limo by a Hollywood producer. The producer steals the idea to make it into the summer’s biggest box office grosser. The boy then travels to Hollywood to claim his deserved credit.
The story is by Brian Robbins and the deal is for Robbins to produce and Michael Tollin to produce. Schneider will script “Lost and Found.”
Tollin/Robbins was repped by Bruce Kaufman and Emile Gladstone of Broder, Kurland, Webb & Uffner and attorney Jeff Byle. Schneider’s deal was brokered by attorney Tom Fineman and Tollin/Robbins’ Michael Goldman.
