Kim Dickens, currently shooting “Zero Effect” for Castle Rock Entertainment, has inked to co-star in “Simple Simon” opposite Bruce Willis and Alec Baldwin for Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment, sources said Tuesday.
Dickens will play the love interest for Willis in the thriller about an FBI agent on the run with a child autistic savant.
Pic starts shooting at the end of June in Chicago.
Harold Becker (“Sea of Love,” “City Hall”) is directing from a script by Lawrence Konner and Mark Rosenthal. Pic is based on a novel by Ryne Douglas Pearsen.
Brian Grazer is producer. Rick Kidney and Joe Singer are exec producers.
Dickens’ credits include “Zero Effect,” last month’s “Truth or Consequences, N.M.” and the upcoming “Great Expectations.”
Her deal was brokered by Stephen Hirsh of the Gersh Agency.
