WASHINGTON — The Motion Picture Assn. of America has named Vans Stevenson to the post of senior vice president of state legislation.
Stevenson had served as VP of state legislation for the MPAA. In his new job, he will be responsible for overseeing all state and local regulatory issues for the association. Also, Stevenson will lead the MPAA’s efforts in the area of taxation.
Based in Washington, Stevenson will be in charge of the California Group, which represents the interests of MPAA members, networks and production companies concerning state and local issues in California.
