Submissions for the fourth annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, presented to actors by their peers for best performances in film and television, must be in by Dec. 3 at 5 p.m., guild officers announced.

Winners in 13 categories — five for film, eight for television — are determined by the guild’s 90,000 active members. Nominees may be submitted by their producer, agent, manager or press representative; actors may nominate themselves, too.

On Jan. 5, nominations ballots will be mailed to members, who will then have until Jan. 26, at noon, to turn them in. Final ballots will be mailed to members on Feb. 9, with polls closing on March 6, at noon. Two days later, starting at 5 p.m. Pacific time, the awards will be presented at the Shrine Auditorium. The event will be broadcast live for the first time, on Turner Network Television.

Submission forms may be obtained by calling the SAG’s awards office at (213) 549-6707.
