Mark Rolston, a square-jawed actor seen in “Aliens,” “The Shawshank Redemption” and “Lethal Weapon 2,” has been cast in New Line Cinema’s “Rush Hour.”
The movie, which begins shooting in Los Angeles early next month, will be directed by Brett Ratner and stars Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. It also means a quick return to the screen for Tom Wilkinson, who bared more than his soul in “The Full Monty.”
Rolston, who worked in also “Eraser,” “Daylight” and “Weeds,” will be seen in David Carson’s upcoming indie “Letters From a Killer” and in Paramount’s “Hard Rain,” directed by Mikhael Salomon and starring Christian Slater, Morgan Freeman, Minnie Driver and Randy Quaid.
The deal for Rolston’s new role in “Rush Hour” was put together by agents Pamela Cole and Michael Greenwald at Don Buchwald & Associates and by the actor’s manager, Scott Hart, at Moress Nanas Hart Entertainment. Rolston will play an FBI agent.
