CANNES — Dustin Hoffman’s Punch Prods. is readying three projects to shoot, including Tony Goldwyn’s directing debut starring Anna Paquin and a John Schlesinger-helmed pic to star Hoffman, the company announced Thursday.
All three pics will be marketed internationally through Village Intermedia Pictures, a joint venture between Guy East and Nigel Sinclair’s Intermedia and Village Roadshow Pictures. Punch trumpeted its three-year production deal with Australia’s Village Roadshow in Cannes a year ago.
Punch will start production July 9 on Goldwyn’s “Blouse Man” just outside Montreal. Diane Lane and Viggo Mortensen join the Oscar-toting “Piano” thesp Paquin in the cast.
Pamela Gray penned the screenplay.
Neil Koenigsberg and Punch Prods.’ Lee Gottsegen, Murray Schisgal and Jay Cohen are producing. Pic carries a $14 million budget.
Other projects include “The House of Mirth” by director Schlesinger and “Knees of a Cellist.” Output deals already inked include Germany’s TeleMunchen, Spain’s Sogepaq, Italy’s Filmauro and South Africa’s Nu Metro.
