Edward R. Pressman Film Corp. has inked a deal with Tom DeCerchio to direct “No Limit,” a dark comedy feature film based on a book by Gary Ross. Production for the film is scheduled to lense by year’s end.

Pressman will produce the pic, which centers on the true story of a young investment banker who gambled away nearly a half-billion dollars of company funds in casinos, then later won almost all the money back. Pressman senior VP of production Alessandro Camon and Sean Furst will exec produce and playwright Maurice Chauvet is attached to pen the screenplay.

‘The ideal director’

“We have the ideal director,” Pressman said in a statement. DeCerchio also directed “Celtic Pride.” “His enthusiasm and energy for the project have been inspirational to all of us.”

The “No Limit” project was first developed by Furst, who brought in DeCerchio. Furst, owner of production company Furst Films, then packaged the deal to Pressman.

DeCerchio is repped by CAA’s Michael Wimer and Furst is represented by attorney Stewart Brookman.
