Pandora boxes up ‘Bela Donna’

French finance and sales company Pandora has acquired its second pic at the fest, adding world rights (excluding Brazil) for Fabio Barreto’s $5 million “Bela Donna” to its slate.

Principal photography on the Brazilian-based romantic comedy began on April 21.

The film stars Natasha Henstridge as a woman who travels to Brazil with her husband but falls in love with a local fisherman.

English-lingo “Bela Donna” is produced by Lucy and Luiz Carlos Barreto, who put together Fabio Barreto’s Oscar-nominated “O Quatrilho.”
