Oscar-winning screenwriter Callie Khouri, who won an Academy Award for her screenplay “Thelma and Louise” in 1991, will deliver the keynote address at the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences’ Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting dinner on Nov. 12.
Five new screenwriters will be honored at the dinner, receiving the first installment of their $25,000 grant money provided by the fellowship.
This year’s Nicholl Fellowship recipients are Glen Craney, Scott Ferraiolo, Anthony J. Jaswinski, Karen O’Toole and Michele Sutter. The five winners were selected from more than 4,000 entries.
Past winners have included Andrew Marlowe (“Air Force One”) and Jim McGlynn (“Traveller.”)
