Veteran film producer and former Creative Artists Agency international exec Ibrahim Moussa has re-started his Stone Canyon Investments with a $20 million war chest, seeking overseas rights to U.S. films. The backing includes $10 million from German investor HEC Asset Management.
With increased focus on Stone Canyon, Moussa has segued to a senior consultant position with Carlo Bernasconi’s Mediaset Group/Medusa Film, where he has served as senior VP for the past five years.
Moussa currently serves as senior consultant to Tarak Ben Ammar of Quinta Communications and Kingdom Entertainment, companies owned by Saudi Prince Al Waleed, which have been involved in entertainment investments, including joint ventures with Michael Jackson.
The Stone Canyon management team includes business affairs exec Allesanda Sandron, acquisitions VP Jana Brainard, acquisitions manager Jennifer Gruskoff, and film producer and distrib exec Ovidio Assonitis, who is acting as a consultant to the company.
