Jennifer Lopez, currently lensing “Out of Sight” with George Clooney, has inked to segue directly into “Thieves” under Gary Fleder’s helm for Universal Pictures, sources said Wednesday.
Lopez, who also just appeared in Oliver Stone’s “U-Turn,” will play the woman at the center of a love triangle amid a group of thieves and con men who are blackmailed into making one last heist.
Pic starts shooting in March under Fleder (“Kiss the Girls,” “Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead”) for producer Larry Gordon.
U exec VP Kevin Misher will oversee the project.
Lopez, who started out as a flygirl dancer on “In Living Color,” has several features to her credit, including “Mi Familia,” “Blood and Wine,” “Selena” and “Anaconda.”
Lopez is managed by Peter Safran of Gold/Miller Management.
