SANTIAGO — “Last Call” is a departure for Chile films. “Call” is being shot entirely in English by a mixed cast including Peter Coyote, Elizabeth Berkley, Elizabeth Rossa, Garret Dillahunt and Eric Michael Cole from the U.S., plus local actors including Lorene Prieto and Bastian Bodenhofer.
The film is being produced by Juan Hartung’s Roos Films on a budget of approximately $1.5 million and is director Christine Lucas’ second feature. It deals with three linked stories that take place on separate floors of the same building and encompasses three genres: situation comedy, drama and psychological thriller.
In pre-production is the same company’s “Dry Manhattan,” with a screenplay by Antonio Skarmeta, the writer on whose novel Michael Radford’s “Il Postino” was based.
