NEW YORK — “Kiss the Girls” star Ashley Judd has kissed goodbye the six-figure salary mark, scoring a low seven-figure payday to co-star with Ewan McGregor in the psychological thriller “Eye of the Beholder,” a film scripted and directed by Stephan Elliott (“The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert”).
The film, which will be financed and distributed by Mark Damon’s MDP Worldwide, will begin shooting in March.
Based on the Marc Behm novel of the same title, “Eye of the Beholder” is the story of a disenfranchised hi-tech detective (McGregor) who becomes obsessed with a mysterious woman (Judd), who leads him on a cross-country odyssey.
The film will be produced by Hit & Run Prods.’ Tony Smith and Hilary Shor, with Damon exec producing.
After springing on the film scene with “Ruby in Paradise” (and winning the Independent Spirit Award for best actress), Judd went on to appear in “Kiss the Girls,” “A Time To Kill,” “Heat” and “Smoke.”
Judd was repped in the deal by Michelle Stern and Mike Simpson at William Morris, with Steve Monas and Jenna Piccolo repping MDP and Shor.
