NEW YORK — Gill Holland and Nadia Leonelli are producing “Remembering Sex,” a low-budget indie that marks the feature directorial debut of Julie Lynch.
Holland was a producer and Leonelli a co-producer of Morgan J. Freeman’s Sundance prize winner “Hurricane,” which MGM will release under the name “Hurricane Streets.”
An actress and script doctor, Lynch penned the script for “Sex” based on her own short story about three women awaiting the results of their AIDS tests. Along with Jennifer Bell, Lynch recently wrote a screenplay based on Bell’s bestselling novel “Going Down.”
“Sex” stars Brooke Smith (“Trees Lounge”), Christine Harnos (“Dazed and Confused”), Amy Ryan (TV’s “The Naked Truth”) and Bill Sage (“Flirt”).
Enrique Chediak, who won the cinematography prize at Sundance for “Hurricane,” will handle d.p. chores on “Sex.” Eilhys England is exec producer.
The project is represented by New York attorney Eli M. Kabillio.
