Industrial Light & Magic has tapped Patricia Blau to serve as VP of feature production, a newly created post. She is an 18-year veteran of the visual effects company, having most recently been executive in charge of production.
Blau reports to Jim Morris, president of Lucas Digital, of which ILM is a division.
She’ll be responsible for production of all feature projects, overseeing creative staff including visual effects supervisors and animation directors. Blau will also handle marketing for feature production.
As a visual effects producer at ILM, Blau worked on such films as “Back to the Future, Part III,” “The Rocketeer” and “Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade.”
Chrissie England has been named to fill Blau’s previous post as exec in charge of production. She is a 19-year ILM veteran. She most recently served as visual effects producer on “101 Dalmatians.”
