SYDNEY — 20th Century Fox Intl.’s “Titanic” and “Great Expectations,” and Warner Bros. Intl.’s “Fallen” have been added to the slate of films being showcased at next month’s CineAsia movie convention.
The fourth edition of the tradeshow and confab runs Dec. 3-5 at the Singapore Intl. Convention and Exhibition Center.
Also unspooling are Buena Vista Intl.’s “Flubber,” Fox Intl.’s “Home Alone 3” and United Intl. Pictures’ “Tomorrow Never Dies” and “The Jackal.”
Hailing this as the best slate of films ever assembled for CineAsia, co-managing director Jimmy Sunshine said: “One of the major reasons we moved the show to December (from January) was to be able to screen more timely films. Thanks to our friends in distribution, this goal was clearly accomplished.”
Awards will be presented at the opening night banquet to the MPAA’s Jack Valenti (Intl. Distinguished Service), actor Chow Yun-Fat (Star of the Decade), BVI’s Larry Kaplan and Anthony Marcoly (Distributors of the Year) and Thailand’s Entertain Golden Village (Exhibitor of the Year).
