HONG KONG — Golden Harvest Entertainment will honor its No. 1 son, Jackie Chan, with a retrospective of his films and contests for his fans this September at one of its local theaters.
Among the films to be screened are “Drunken Master 2,” “Rumble in the Bronx,” “Thunderbolt,” “First Strike” and the recent “Mr. Nice Guy.”
The HK$199.70 price (get it, 1997?), or about $25, gets the fan admission to one film and a limited-edition set of nine Chan postage stamps in an autographed folder. That’s a big deal in a place populated by rabid stamp collectors.
They also get entered in contests to win Chan merchandise and get discounts at the local Planet Hollywood, in which Chan is a partner.
