Castle Rock inks Gross to pen ‘Graduation’

Larry Gross has signed to write the thriller feature “Graduation Day” for Castle Rock Entertainment from an idea by William Stuart, the studio announced Tuesday.

Pic, set on a Midwestern campus, about a student who gets caught up in his fraternity’s plan to assassinate a controversial and outspoken Muslim leader.

Stuart, who last served as exec producer on “The Rock,” will produce “Graduation Day.” He is also prexy of Aurora Prods.

Liz Glotzer, prexy of production for Castle Rock, and Jeffrey Levine, VP of production, will oversee the project for the company.

Gross’s credits include “This World, Then the Fireworks,” “Smilla’s Sense of Snow,” “Streets of Fire,” “Another 48 HRS.” and TNT’s “David.”

Tory Metzger and Jim Lefkowitz of CAA brokered the deal for Gross.
