BFI honors Puttnam

David Puttnam is to receive a British Film Institute fellowship May 22 for his ”outstanding contribution” to British film.

The fellowship comes on the heels of the release of his new book, ”The Undeclared War,” which is highly critical of Hollywood. Previous recipients of the prestigious award have included Vanessa Redgrave, Alec Guinness and Orson Welles.
