Baird going the ‘Limit’

Director Stuart Baird, getting set to start shooting “U.S. Marshals” for Warner Bros., is attached to develop “Vertical Limit” for Phoenix Pictures. It still is uncertain whether he will do “Vertical Limit” after Tommy Lee Jones starrer “Marshals,” the followup to “The Fugitive.” From a script by Robert King, “Vertical Limit” is an action drama about a group of mountain climbers who must scale K2 on a rescue mission to save other climbers. The pic has not been greenlit. King, whose credits include “Speechless” and “Clean Slate,” sold the script a year ago. Baird is repped by Robert Stein at William Morris.
