“Donnie Brasco” (TriStar) made $11.2 million, good for $7,450 on 1,503 and second place.

“Booty Call” (Col) sashayed to $6.4 million in fourth, for $5,030 on 1,272.

Holdovers:

“The Empire Strikes Back” (Fox) struck for $12.6 million in first place, yielding a per-screen average of $5,970 on 2,111.

“Star Wars” (Fox) ran up $7 million in third, good for $2,960 on 2,367.

“Absolute Power” (Sony/Castle Rock) strong-armed $5.7 million, good for $2,220 on 2,568 and fifth place.
