After surviving two “Scream” films, actor David Arquette is in final negotiations to take his chances in Fox 2000’s horror pic “Ravenous.”
Robert Carlyle (“The Full Monty”), Guy Pearce (“L.A. Confidential”) and Jeremy Davies also star in the pic for producer Adam Fields.
Macedonian Milcho Manchevski will take the helm from a script by Ted Griffin.
“Ravenous” follows the travails of a small group of soldiers who are lured into the web of a cannibal (Carlyle) who is stalking their snowbound, mountain outpost as if it were a human salad bar. In the film, Arquette would play the cook, who is prone to drug-induced hallucinations.
Pic is slated to begin production in Prague next month.
Arquette, a fourth-generation thesp, broke into acting with the Fox TV series “The Outsiders” in 1990.
Since then, he has worked steadily, co-starring in such films as “Where the Day Takes You,” “Beautiful Girls,” “Scream,” “johns,” “Dream With the Fishes” (which he also co-produced) and the current hit “Scream 2.”
Arquette is repped by Nick Styne and Risa Shapiro of International Creative Management. He is managed by Steven Siebert of Lighthouse Entertainment.
