Jim Banister has had his stripes at Warner Bros. Online burnished anew, becoming VP and G.M. of the corporate/entertainment Net-based division of the studio.
Banister was previously VP of production and technology at the division, reporting then as now to senior VP and division chief Jim Moloshok. In addition to his primary responsibilities, which remain the digital production and distribution of programming for the four-site Webplex, Banister will be taking on additional administrative and operational duties for the division.
Before joining WB in 1995, Banister had been the director of multimedia and post-production for Steven Spielberg’s Shoah project, and also a pioneer in the use of animation and digital imaging for marketing and educational purposes. He began his career as a physicist at TRW Inc.
