Greg Probert has been upped to executive VP of Buena Vista Home Entertainment Worldwide.

Japan and the Asia/Pacific region, along with Latin America, will now report directly to Probert. Additionally, he will oversee worldwide finance, manufacturing and distribution, administration, human resources, Disney Interactive overseas and the Supercomm Businesses.

Formerly based in Hong Kong, Probert was responsible for all aspects of Buena Vista’s Asia/Pacific homevid business for the company’s subsidiaries and licensees in the Pacific Rim countries.

Prior to joining Disney, Probert spent six years with Arthur Young in the entertainment group. He joined Disney in 1988 as a manager in corporate management audit and was promoted to VP of finance at Buena Vista International. He joined BVHE in 1993, serving as VP, finance and later as senior VP, managing director, of BVHE Asia in 1994.
