Fans log on to help ABC’s ‘Practice’

E-mails and web 'hits' save show

The folks at Twentieth TV and ABC are giving partial credit for the network’s renewal of the David E. Kelley-produced drama “The Practice” to a grassroots Internet campaign to save the show. The campaign resulted in more than 500,000 “hits” and nearly 10,000 visitors to the “Practice” Web site between March 2 and April 14.

ABC was also flooded with some 450 e-mail messages from fans, most of them demanding that “The Practice” be renewed.
