The subject of the site may not be even halfway completed itself, but that’s not stopping officials of the Walt Disney Concert Hall from trumpeting the completion of the troubled building project’s World Wide Web site (www.disneyhall.org). Designed by top-rank Web fabricators W3-design Inc. and maintained by them on a pro bono basis (even though the building’s total eventual cost will be nearly $225 million), the site features digital renditions of architect Frank Gehry’s bold models of the building and also a number of “press releases” outlining how beneficial the hall will eventually be for downtown L.A. The site does not, however, contain a virtual donations box.
