Saban payment lowers Harvey earnings

NEW YORK — Harvey Entertainment Co.’s earnings fell to $183,000 from $1.1 million in the second quarter, reflecting Harvey’s receipt last year of a one-time cash payment related to its Saban/Fox deal.

In the three months to June 30, the company said its licensing revenues rose slightly to $738,000 as Harvey’s new licensing division kicked into gear. But filmed entertainment revenues, inflated last year by the Saban payment, fell to $2.1 million from $3.5 million.
